The New England Patriots parted ways with Bill Belichick, which seemed like the best decision after everything that had transpired since Tom Brady left the premises.
Needless to say, that immediately put him at the top of most team’s shortlists, even those who weren’t supposed to part ways with their respective head coaches.
With that in mind, and considering how they imploded late in the season, former NFL player Louis Riddick believes the Philadelphia Eagles should ‘definitely consider’ making a run at him.
Talking on ESPN’s Get Up, Riddick stated that the Eagles organization must be wondering whether Nick Sirianni is the right guy to lead them going forward.
“Personally, I think it’s something you definitely have to consider,” Riddick said in regards to if the Eagles should have interest in Belichick.

The Eagles made the Super Bowl and had the best record in the league at 10-1 at some point under Sirianni.
But something must’ve happened in that locker room that led to this unprecedented debacle.
Injuries didn’t derail this team’s season, but you could tell that they had lost all faith in themselves, their teammates, and the coaching staff every single time they set foot on the gridiron.
It’s hard to wonder what could’ve happened to make this team go from a Super Bowl contender and the most stacked team in the league to a team that closed out the season losing six of their past seven games.
In hindsight and looking at the big picture, perhaps it won’t be fair to get rid of Sirianni.
But context also matters, and it seems like he lost his team at some point in the season.
