Bronny James has been a fan favorite during his time with the USC Trojans given his relation to LeBron James and his own unique playstyle.

Unlike his dad, Bronny is a smaller guard who does well shooting the basketball and playing tough-nosed defense at the point of attack.

However, Bronny drew a ton of attention in the offseason when he underwent cardiac arrest at a practice and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Fortunately, the freshman was able to recover and make a return to the basketball court, but he’s clearly still getting his bearings under him.

Bronny has been on a minutes restriction and was recently coming off the bench for USC as he ramps up.

The young guard had a rough outing in USC’s most recent loss to Colorado and fans fired off their takes, via Legion Hoops.

“Bronny had a tough one last night: 0 points, 0/7 FGM, 0/3 3PM, 24 minutes.”

The criticism from the fans is harsh considering he’s still not at 100 percent, but social media is unforgiving whenever a player underwhelms.

It also doesn’t help that Bronny’s father is LeBron and he will unfairly be held to the same standard of play.

One game shouldn’t define Bronny’s season, though it does call into question his viability as a draft prospect this year.

LeBron has been adamant about playing with Bronny in the league before he retires, and the plan has always been for the latter to declare for the 2024 NBA Draft.

However, it might be in his best interest to stay at least one more year in college and rehab his value.
