Ravens’ Andrews designated to return from IR, returns to practice

The Baltimore Ravens may be getting their star tight end back for their divisional playoff game next week.

The Ravens announced that Mark Andrews has been designated to return from IR, as he returned to practice on Friday. Baltimore, which are on bye this week due to winning the No. 1 seed in the AFC, now has 21 days to activate its All-Pro tight end.

Andrews has been out of action since Week 11, when he underwent surgery for a high-ankle sprain and a fracture fibula. The 28-year-old had 45 catches for 544 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games this season before going down with injury.

The Ravens have dealt with injuries all year long, but it hasn’t slowed them down, as they finished the regular season with a 13-4 record and will now host a divisional playoff game.
