Defending FA Cup champion Manchester City will take on Tottenham in the fourth round of the English soccer tournament, one of several clashes featuring Premier League clubs that came out of Monday’s draw.
City, which defeated Manchester United in last year’s FA Cup Final, must travel to London to take on the Hotspurs in the next round, which will be played on Jan. 27.
London football parks will be busy that weekend with Aston Villa at Chelsea and Newcastle at Fulham in another pair of EPL matchups that came out of the draw.
Wrexham, the fourth-tier club owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McEIhenney, will travel to Blackburn to face the Rovers, a Championship league team, which is two levels above the Dragons. Blackburn is currently in 17th place in its league, while Wrexham is sitting third in League Two.
Wrexham isn’t the lowest club to make it to the final of 32. That honour goes to sixth-tier Maidstone United, which will face Ipswich Town, currently sitting in second place in the Championship.
The winner of Manchester United and Wigan, playing Monday at 3:15 p.m. ET / 12:15 p.m. PT on Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, will face either Eastleigh or Newport County.
With eight replays still to take place, some of the matchups are still to be finalized.
