In a not-surprising turn of events, the Washington Commanders have parted ways with HC Ron Rivera.
Adam Schefter of ESPN broke the news on social media, and the fans weren’t exactly shocked to hear about that.

Rivera had been on the hot seat for most of his tenure in Washington, and he couldn’t save his job with a late-season surge this time around.
Some analysts predicted he could be fired mid-season, with Eric Bieniemy taking the reins of the team.
Then again, considering how poorly their offense fared for most of the campaign, Bieniemy’s job isn’t safe either.
The Commanders went through an ownership change at the beginning of the campaign, and the new ownership is expected to have a hands-on approach to make sure they get things right this time around, as they want to get back to contention right away.
Beiniemy is most likely going to stay in the mix as a potential candidate, but he could also be shown the door.
The Commanders failed to keep up with the rest of the NFC East Division, and they also have some serious doubts about Sam Howell and their future at the QB position.
They’ll have plenty of draft assets and salary cap flexibility to make the moves they need to get back to contention right away, and it’ll be interesting to see which names start popping up in their potential candidate shortlist in the next couple of weeks.
