The New York Jets were torn apart by Cleveland Browns quarterback Joe Flacco a week ago in the team’s 30-27 loss.
Flacco finished the game with 309 passing yards and three passing touchdowns, including a 50-yard touchdown bomb to running back Jerome Ford.
And to add insult to injury for New York, the NFL fined Jets defensive tackle Quinnen Williams more than $16,000 for hitting Flacco in the head on that touchdown pass, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

It’s just another frustrating element to another bad Jets season.
New York won’t make the playoffs this year for the 13th consecutive season after failing to adapt to the loss of quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 1.
Williams has been one of the lone bright spots on the team, though, after he was named to his second consecutive Pro Bowl after he tallied 3.5 sacks and 18 quarterback hits this season.
The Jets’ defense has been the best part about the team but wasn’t enough to overcome the offensive deficiencies.
Without Rodgers under center, the Jets trotted out Zach Wilson, Tim Boyle, and Trevor Siemian – to no avail.
New York has the 29th-ranked scoring offense with the third-fewest passing yards and the fewest passing touchdowns this season.
The defense has looked great at times, but still only ranks 18th in points allowed despite one of the best secondaries in the NFL and a stout defensive line.
New York takes on the New England Patriots in a Week 18 showdown that is all about AFC East pride and a better draft pick for the loser.
