Most people would agree that, at least right now, Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins is the best wide receiver in the NFL.

He certainly earns that distinction, as he was apparently on his way to a historic 2,000-yard season until he suffered a recent ankle injury.

But if Hill is the best at his position, CeeDee Lamb of the Dallas Cowboys isn’t far behind.

Lamb is second in receiving yards with 1,651, and he’s coming off a season-high 227 yards in Saturday’s close win over the Detroit Lions.

In fact, he leads the league with 30 plays of at least 20 yards, per Pro Football Focus.

Lamb is arguably the biggest reason why the Cowboys, at times, have looked dominant this season, especially on offense.

Thanks to his exploits, they rank third in scoring and first in passing touchdowns.

Dallas has an 11-5 record, and they can clinch first place in the NFC East with a win over the Washington Commanders this weekend, which would give them the second seed in the NFC.

As has been the case over the last couple of years, Dallas seems to have a real shot at getting to the Super Bowl, but questions remain about their ability to win a big game in a vacuum.

A win this weekend would give them home-field advantage over everyone except the San Francisco 49ers, the top seed in the conference that sent them home in each of the last two postseasons.

Given quarterback Dak Prescott’s struggles against the 49ers, it’s hard to imagine the Cowboys winning a playoff game at Levi’s Stadium, but a huge performance from Lamb could get the job done there.
