Despite being in Year 21, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is turning back the clock and turning in another wonderful season.

Although the Lakers have been in a rut as of late, James has been playing up to his normal superstar level and is the reason why fans and the media aren’t quitting on the team.

Los Angeles clearly needs to make a move or two to crack the contender conversation, but they’ve got the talent in Anthony Davis and James that most teams lack.

As James gets older, the greatest of all-time debate becomes more and more heated though as most basketball fans still peg Michael Jordan as the GOAT.

James versus Jordan is an argument that will never get settled, though that won’t stop people from engaging in it.

Former head coach Doc Rivers admitted he believes Jordan is the GOAT but had no problem saying James would go down with the best career via SHOWTIME.

“Lebron’s going to have to the greatest career ever,” Rivers said.

Jordan’s perfect Finals record is largely the reason why he’s considered the best, but James’ longevity and resume speaks for itself.

Even if James doesn’t win that elusive fifth ring, he will still go down as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and owns the record for several other statistical feats.

What James is doing at his age is unprecedented and he is single-handedly proving that today’s players can last a lot longer in the league.

While James will never be the unanimous choice for GOAT, he should have a stranglehold on the voting when the argument shifts to who had the best NBA career.
