Throughout the MLB offseason, every team is looking for ways to improve their roster.
At least that has been the case for every team except the Chicago Cubs.
The Cubs have plenty of their free agents looking for deals.
Yet, they have not shown any willingness to re-sign their players or acquire new ones.
According to Michael Cerami, 24 teams have added a big league free agent his offseason.
Along with five teams adding a big leaguer via trade.
But, the Cubs are the one team in baseball that has done neither.

It is surprising to see the Cubs not make any moves to their roster.
The only move they have made this offseason is adding a new manager.
The Cubs brought in Craig Counsell from the Milwaukee Brewers and he should make an impact.
But, the Cubs need to have good players to compete for a division title.
Some of the players the Cubs should look to re-sign are Marcus Stroman and Cody Bellinger.
Both are All-Star-caliber players and played a significant role in their success last year.
To the surprise of many, the Cubs found themselves in playoff contention last year.
They were in position for an NL Wild Card spot until the very end of the year.
Luckily for the Cubs, they still have plenty of time to improve their roster.
Other than a few top free agents, there are still many star players available.
Depending on what the Cubs do this offseason will show us how serious they are about competing.
