The Miami Dolphins are coming off a big victory against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

However, they could be without a key player moving forward.

Wide Receiver Jaylen Waddle exited the game in the third quarter in what was originally being reported as a shin injury.

Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel recently gave more clarification on Waddle’s injury saying he has a high-ankle sprain.

This puts his availability for the rest of the regular season in doubt as it’s typically an injury that takes four to six weeks to return from.

Waddle had one reception for 50 yards before leaving the game in the win over the Cowboys.

The Dolphins are set to face the Baltimore Ravens next week in what will be a crucial matchup with the AFC’s No. 1 seed still on the line.

Waddle currently has 72 catches for 1,014 yards and four touchdowns.

The Dolphins will be hard-pressed to find a replacement for him as it’s his big play ability that defines his role in the offense.

The team can still win the division over the final weeks of the season, but it certainly will be a bigger challenge without him on the field.

The Ravens currently have a half-game lead in the AFC, but face a tough San Francisco 49ers team on Monday night.
