The Washington Commanders are in for some major changes following the conclusion of the 2023 NFL season as the team has cratered in the second half of the year.
The Commanders sold off some pieces at the NFL trade deadline knowing they needed to jumpstart a rebuild, and it’s the correct path as they’ve got no hope of competing as things currently stand.
Head coach Ron Rivera and general manager Martin Mayhew could be looking for jobs soon as Washington has been a mess on both sides of the field.
New team owner Josh Harris is reportedly looking to bring in his own regime, and it’ll be interesting to see who he brings in.
In the meantime, Commanders fans have to put up with some woeful performances to end the year and they were understandably upset with how they looked in Week 16 against the New York Jets.
Washington found themselves down 20-0 in the first half against New York and fans were not pleased via Josh Taylor.
I’ll never forgive Ron Rivera and Mayhew for this roster that they built.

They both should never have a job in the nfl again

They are gone after the season. We got enough to rebuild…

The Commanders have been the league’s worst defense the past several weeks which is a massive indictment given that the Jets have been the worst offense during that stretch.
Washington looked helpless trying to guard Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall, while Trevor Siemien has been competent under center.
Commanders fans deserve much better than what they’re watching right now, but reinforcements aren’t coming until next year.
Both franchises are heading for some upgrades once the season ends, though Washington appears to have a lot more questions to answer.
