After starting the season with a league-best record of 10-1, the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles looked like the team to beat in the NFL, with Jalen Hurts and company looking as resilient as ever in their efforts to return to the Super Bowl.
Unfortunately for Philadelphia, the Eagles have headed into a downward spiral ever since losing to the San Francisco 49ers a few weeks ago, as Nick Sirianni hasn’t been able to figure out a way to get his team to bounce back.
Heading into Week 16 against the division-rival New York Giants on Christmas Day, the Eagles have lost three straight games, with costly losses to the 49ers, Dallas Cowboys, and Seattle Seahawks.
On Thursday, Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott was asked about the Eagles’ recent struggles, namely the team losing to the Seahawks on Monday Night Football, and shared his thoughts on the division rivals seemingly falling apart as of late, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic.
Dak Prescott on the Seahawks beating the Eagles: “Thumbs up. I’m not wishing on anyone’s downfall, but I appreciate that. That helps. It kinda evens things out again. Can’t count on them to do that. That’s not what we’re keeping our fingers crossed, hoping for. It’s about us… pic.twitter.com/0CqhMJcloT

Even though the Eagles are having their fair share of struggles to finish out the regular season, the Cowboys aren’t much better off, with the team coming off one of its worst performances of the season thus far in the blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills.
Dallas will look to bounce back with a vengeance in Week 16 on the road at Hard Rock Stadium against the high-powered offense of the Miami Dolphins, led by Tua Tagovailoa and Tyreek Hill.
The 49ers seem to have separated themselves from the pack as the best team in the NFC, while the Cowboys and Eagles continue to battle it out for the distinction as the second-best team in the conference.
