The Tennessee Titans no longer have a chance to make the playoffs, so they shouldn’t be in a rush to risk Will Levis.
The talented second-round pick has been fairly impressive in limited snaps as the team’s QB1.
Every rep counts, and with him not starting the season because of Mike Vrabel’s trust in Ryan Tannehill, he could definitely benefit from getting some more run before the end of the campaign.
Nonetheless, it seems like that’s not going to be possible, at least not this weekend, because he hasn’t fully healed from his ankle injury.
When asked about it, the Kentucky product stated that if he’s healthy enough to play, he’ll play.
However, it doesn’t sound like the team is on the same page (via Jim Wyatt and Dov Kleiman).

“As far as I am concerned, I think if you are able to play, you play.”

Reports state that Vrabel’s team will take things carefully with their new franchise QB.
If he cannot go, then it’ll be the Tannehill show again, leaving 2022 draft pick Malik Willis as his backup.
Whether Levis’ health situation will get any better and he’ll get another chance to showcase his skills before the end of the season remains to be seen.
What has become evident is that neither Tannehill nor Willis seem to have a role on the team going forward, at least not as starters.
In his rookie season, Levis’ accuracy and decision-making have been far from perfect, but his physical traits, poise, and confidence have made people think the Titans may have finally found their quarterback for the future.
