The Kansas City Chiefs improved to 9-5 with a 10-point win over the struggling New England Patriots on Sunday, and they remain in the discussion of being possibly the best team in the AFC.
However, the concerns surrounding them remain.
While their defense has been as strong as ever, their passing game has had problems, as their receivers have had a large number of dropped passes.
On FS1’s “Speak,” Emmanuel Acho says that he’s “panicked” about the Chiefs’ Super Bowl chances as a result.

In particular, Kadarius Toney had just two receptions on four targets, and in the fourth quarter, with the Chiefs leading 27-10, a pass intended for him was intercepted, which subsequently led to a New England touchdown that made things somewhat competitive.
One would think the defending Super Bowl champs would’ve defeated a very weak New England team by more than 10 points.
Kansas City’s lack of reliable wide receivers has put lots of pressure on star tight end Travis Kelce, and Acho pointed out that he hasn’t had the same “gross output” as he has had in past years.
The team may be able to get away with these issues against bad teams such as the Patriots, but they have led to losses against the Detroit Lions, Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, and even the mediocre Green Bay Packers.
Perhaps star quarterback Patrick Mahomes will find his usual magic and maneuver the Chiefs back to the Super Bowl, but they would be hard-pressed to defeat a team such as the Eagles or San Francisco 49ers there with their current problems.
