Sunday Night Football was not the kindest to the Jacksonville Jaguars this week.
The Jaguars entered this contest against the Baltimore Ravens with a chance to further their lead in the AFC South but instead fell in blowout fashion. ‘
This wasn’t the only loss of the night.
Ian Rapoport has recently highlighted that Trevor Lawrence is entering the concussion protocol after taking a big fourth-quarter hit.
#Jaguars coach Doug Pederson announced late last night that QB Trevor Lawrence will enter the NFL’s concussion protocol after a hit he sustained in the fourth quarter. That could mean CJ Beathard next week against the #Bucs.

At this time, his Week 16 status is unknown.
If he’s unable to go, as Rapoport points out, it will be up to C.J. Beathard to take Lawrence’s place under center.
This is not ideal for a team that was expected to run away with the division.
Lawrence’s Jaguars are now tied with the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans with an 8-6 record, meaning their last three games of the season will decide this race.
While the Jaguars don’t face off against the Colts or Texans to close the season, those two teams play each other in the last week of the regular season.
With any luck, this game will knock down one of these two teams, giving the Jaguars an easy path to their second straight divisional win.
Lawrence has been a catalyst for change within this organization for the past two years.
While he still has a lot of learning to do as an NFL quarterback, it is clear that the fanbase continues to support him as the franchise star.
Beathard doesn’t present the same level of offensive upside, leaving fans disappointed if Lawrence cannot go next week due to his concussion symptoms.
