WELL HELLO THERE. Let’s take a stroll down memory lane back to August when we here at had our Holiday planning meeting. Yes, you did read that right…planning the holiday’s in August 🤣 Here at LIY we get the Holiday planning party started earlyyyy in hopes to be the best resource for YOU during the busy season! Let’s face it…those hubby’s and 12 year old nieces can be hard to buy for. Plus, you need to create your dream wishlist too amirite??
If you have ever wondered what it’s REALLY like to work in the blog and social media space, here’s a little behind the scenes into one of our favorite days of the year – the holiday planning meeting! I feel like each year this meeting gets pushed a little further from Hallmark movie season and closer to swimsuit season 😆 [peppermint mocha please, but make it iced ❄️] but as mentioned, we like to get the ball rollin’ here prettyyyy early because there is a lot of content rolling out during the Holiday season and we want to make sure we are getting all of our ducks/reindeer/whatever your favorite animal is in a row to be a one stop shop for all things Holiday. From recipes, to 90+ gift guides [all retailers & Amazon only], to give back opportunities, to hosting tips, to outfit ideas, + so much more; we are here to give you content and ideas to hopefully save you time so that you can focus more on the things that truly matter to you!
Steph [Director of Operations] and Devon [Operations Assistant] led the charge for prepping, planning, and executing this meeting. - SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE & Serve!
You could maybe even beat Eminem in this wrap battle…no we aren’t talking spitting rhymes – we are talking wrapping presents…but blindfolded. Draw names for opponents, put your blindfold’s on, start a timer (we did 90 seconds) and have the group vote on who wrapped it best! Note: we pre-cut the paper to size to avoid any injuries 🤣
- Mix up plain cookie dough [we used the Nestle Chocolate Chip cookie recipe without chocolate chips!]
- Have jars or bowls of as many mix in options as you would like! [we used chocolate chips, crasins, funfetti chips, heath bar, caramel chips, pretzels, pecans, andes mints, and sprinkles!]
- Write down your creation [save the recipe template below], bake the cookies, and share your cookie with friends [or keep it all to yourself!]
