Less than a month-and-a-half ago, the Seattle Seahawks were riding high with a 5-2 record, and winning the NFC West this season seemed like a legit possibility.
But ever since they earned their fifth win of the 2023 campaign by defeating the Cleveland Browns in Week 8, the Seahawks have lost four of their last five games, and just making the playoffs is something that could no longer be in the cards for the team this season.
On Sunday, Seattle will attempt to get things back on track when they head out on the road to take on the rival San Francisco 49ers.
The 49ers have been playing lights out recently, so defeating them won’t be easy, but it sounds like the Seahawks should have the services of running backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet for the matchup.
#Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III (oblique) and RB Zach Charbonnet (knee) both are listed as questionable but both were full participants on Friday. That’s a sign both should play Sunday.

For a Seattle team that might have to start Drew Lock under center if Geno Smith’s current groin injury keeps him sidelined, having Walker and Charbonnet available would be a gigantic help for the team’s offense.
Of course, the Seahawks and their running back duo will be going up against a 49ers defense that has allowed the fewest rushing yards in the NFL this season, so success on the ground doesn’t seem like it will be easy to come by for Seattle.
With a 6-6 record, the Seahawks are currently the No. 8 team in the NFC playoff picture, right behind the Green Bay Packers for the final spot in the conference’s postseason bracket.
Getting a win over San Francisco on Sunday will be difficult, but Seattle needs the victory to remain in the hunt for a playoff spot.
