Bill Belichick hasn’t had much to smile about during the 2023 NFL season as his New England Patriots sit toward the bottom of the standings and are in for another wasted year.
It’s been surreal for Patriots fans to see a Belichick-led team play so poorly and it feels like his time as head coach could be coming to an end.
New England owner Robert Kraft has been fiercely supportive and loyal to Belichick who brought six Super Bowls to the franchise, but even he has to leave open the possibility that the head coach’s time has run its course.
However, Belichick got a rare moment of reprieve when the Patriots beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday Night Football.
Aside from that, Belichick also got the honor of being the guest picker for the Navy-Army game.
Belichick, not known for showing very many emotions, gave fans a funny moment when he picked Navy to win the game via College GameDay.

This is THE rivalry of FBS college football, and a time to honor the people whom have defended our country as well.

Fans aren’t used to seeing Belichick smile let alone laugh so much, and it had to be kick for everyone to see him take a page out of analyst Lee Corso’s book with the headgear.
Belichick is fond of the Navy because of his father who served as a scout for the Navy football team when he was younger.
It’s an honor and a privilege to be a picker for a game, and for Belichick it must’ve been meaningful to be selected as the one for the Navy-Army game that typically draws in plenty of viewers.
