The Cleveland Browns may have lost in Week 13 to the Los Angeles Rams, but they did see some positive developments with the offense.
With Dorian Thompson-Robinson dealing with a concussion after their Week 12 loss to the Denver Broncos, the Browns signed Joe Flacco to the practice squad and subsequently elevated him to the active roster.
Flacco has a reputation for being a gunner throwing the football, and he stayed true to that against Los Angeles as he threatened their defense with several deep passes throughout the afternoon.
It was a stark contrast to what the offense looked like with Thompson-Robinson under center as he opted for shorter throws near the line of scrimmage and relied on his teammates to create yards after the catch.
The Browns have a tough matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 14, and their quarterback starter has yet to be named.
However, the team may have tipped its hand when it elevated Flacco again and waived backup PJ Walker via Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski has yet to commit to who will start, though it seems like Flacco might have an edge considering the offense looked much better with a quarterback willing to take shots downfield.
While Thompson-Robinson is a dual-threat signal caller, he lacks the experience and veteran savvy that Flacco has.
Stefanski could take his decision all the way up until right before kickoff, but given the news and Flacco’s performance last week it seems as though he would have the inside track to be the starter.
