The Houston Texans landed a legitimate superstar when they got C.J. Stroud.
Of course, it’s still quite early in his career, but one can already tell that he’s got the intangibles it takes to have a long and successful tenure in the National Football League.
That’s why former NFL star Michael Vick wanted to shout him out, praising him for being so calm and poised and lauding those who helped him during his football upbringing for making sure he had the understanding and everything he needed to find success as a pro (via NFL on FOX Podcast).

Vick also praised Bryce Young, and while he acknowledges he hasn’t had a good year at all, he still gives him credit for having the right attitude and going out there and battling every single game, predicting both of them would be much better in their second season.
Notably, Stroud has taken the league by storm in ways not many people thought he’d do, at least not this early in his career.
He’s posting elite numbers for a rookie QB, and he’s been one of the best players in the league overall, not just from this class.
The Texans shouldn’t even be in the mix for a playoff spot or a divisional pennant at this point in the season, but Stroud has proven to be a leader on and off the field, and they’re quite ahead of schedule right now.
He’s a special player, and he’s only going to keep getting better.
