Jalen Brunson played the first four seasons of his NBA career with the Dallas Mavericks.
While Brunson improved slowly, his actual growth spurt happened in the 2022-23 NBA season when he joined the New York Knicks.
Brunson’s arrival helped the Knicks finally become a competitive team in the Eastern Conference.
After leading the team to a commendable run in the 2023 postseason, Brunson has helped the Knicks reach a 12-7 record in the Eastern Conference.
One of the best aspects of Brunson’s game this season is drawing charges.
But how much has Brunson improved in a span of one offseason? Well, the Knicks star is on pace to draw the most charges and offensive fouls drawn in a single season, as revealed via Fred Katz on Twitter.
He’s better.
He’s pacing to break the record for most charges drawn in a single season (since that started being tracked ~10 years ago) and the most offensive fouls drawn in a single season (since that started being tracked ~20 years ago). https://t.co/knF4k02PuQ

Now, that’s an impressive stat by Brunson, as no player has ever done what he is doing this season.
As for his other stats, Brunson is averaging 24.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game for the Knicks this season.
He’s also shooting an impressive 46.7% from the field and 47.2% from the three-point line.
If Brunson can continue playing at this level for the rest of the season, the New York Knicks could be a dark horse candidate to win the 2024 NBA Championship.
The Knicks are 7-3 in their last 10 games of the season and are currently on a three-game winning streak.
The next time the Knicks will be a player in the league will be in the NBA In-Season Tournament.
They are all set to face off against the Milwaukee Bucks in the quarter-finals of the tournament,
