Martinez opted out of the last two years of his previous deal, a three-year, $26-million pact with the San Diego Padres, to go to free agency.
Martinez, 33, was 6-4 with a 3.43 ERA in 63 games with the Padres last season — nine of which were starts.
The Miami native returned to the majors with the Padres in 2022 after spending four years in Japan.
Martinez played for the Texas Rangers from 2014-17.
In 198 career major-league appearances (87 starts), Martinez is 27-38 with a 4.31 ERA.
