The Miami Dolphins were dealt a massive blow to their much-improved defense.
As you may know by now, star LB Jaelan Phillips suffered a season-ending injury after tearing his Achilles during their game vs. the New York Jets.
Recently, NFL Films shared a clip of the latest Hard Knocks episode featuring the Dolphins, and things got quite emotional.
“I’m a fighter, I’ll keep fighting.”@JJPhillips15 knows he’ll be back stronger than ever. 🙏 #HardKnockspic.twitter.com/OuTL8Lk0HP

The clip showed all his teammates rallying around him after the injury and Phillips talking about how he’s going to become a stronger person after this injury, adding that he’s a fighter and he’s going to keep on fighting.
Phillips was having a solid year.
Despite missing three games, he was tied for the team lead with 6.5 sacks in eight contests.
The Dolphins signed veteran Jason Pierre-Paul to make up for his absence, although HC Mike McDaniel explained that the team doesn’t necessarily have to have someone doing all the things he does.
LB Andrew Van Ginkel and DE Emmanuel Ogbah might also be touted for a heavier workload going forward.
Phillips is just another addition to a long list of players suffering these kinds of injuries at MetLife Stadium, which has obviously led to multiple players urging the league to ban artificial turf once and for all.
The league, however, is unlikely to do that any time soon, as their individual research stated that there was no correlation between major injuries and playing on turf, regardless of the countless players who’ve missed time because of it, including Jets QB Aaron Rodgers.
