The Chicago Bears have a tough decision to make in the offseason.
They could either stick with Justin Fields and give him another shot, or blow things up and start from scratch with someone like USC star Caleb Williams.
However, according to former Super Bowl champion Richard Sherman, it just won’t matter unless they’re able to build a good team around either of those players.
In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” Sherman explained that there’s literally no point in going from Fields to Williams if they’re going to stick with the same roster and staff, as they would be putting him in the very same situation.
Should Bears draft Caleb Williams or stick with Justin Fields?

Instead, he believes the team should look to trade one of their first-round picks to get more assets and build a solid team on both sides of the football, arguing that that’s the way to build a championship-caliber team.
Sherman compared it to what the Houston Texans did last season and how they’ve been able to stack up talent, adding that there’s no point or difference and it won’t matter who their quarterback is unless they surround them with enough talent.
Truth be told, the Seattle Seahawks legend is right on point there.
The Bears aren’t good enough to compete at the highest level, and their issues go way beyond the quarterback position and Fields.
Fields isn’t a scrub by any means, and while Williams’ ceiling might be higher, it won’t make a big difference unless he has better players by his side; that’s just a fact.
