After a promising start to the 2023-24 NBA season, things have gotten tougher and tougher for the Golden State Warriors with every passing game, as this team filled with veteran stars has struggled to figure out how to play well consistently, leading to the team falling below .500 with a record of 8-9.
As if the team struggling to get back on track wasn’t bad enough for Steve Kerr and company, veteran star forward Draymond Green recently got into an on-court altercation with Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert.
The Warriors star proceeded to get Gobert in a headlock in order to stop a scuffle between teammate Klay Thompson and Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels.
As a result of Green’s actions, the league didn’t hold back, when assessing his punishment, as Adam Silver handed down a five-game suspension to the four-time NBA champion.
In the aftermath of the suspension and altercation, Green has shown no remorse for what he did to Gobert, as he claims he lives his life with no regrets and that he’ll always stick up for one of his teammates.
Draymond Green says he doesn’t regret choking Rudy Gobert
“I don’t live my life with regrets. I’ll come to a teammate’s defense any time that I’m in a position to come to a teammate’s defense. … What matters to me is how the people that I care about feel, first and foremost.… pic.twitter.com/LYnIywGRDG

Ironically enough, this is the same player who punched his teammate during a Warriors practice, which ended up derailing the team’s chances of defending their title, as the team wasn’t the same after Green hit Jordan Poole.
Even though it could be argued that Poole was the problem all along, as he’s already rubbed his teammates the wrong way with the Washington Wizards, Green still wears his emotions on his sleeve and is challenging to deal with.
