The Dallas Cowboys have a key divisional matchup ahead of them today.
They’ll go against the Washington Commanders and look to make a statement in their division, trying to get their record to 8-3 in their first matchup vs. this divisional rival this season.
The Cowboys enter the game as 13.5-point favorites and rightfully so, as they’re currently 7-3, while the Commanders are 4-7, and fresh off a loss to the quarterback-less New York Giants.
However, despite the evident disparity in talent and how better the Cowboys are at every single position and possible metric or aspect of the game, team legend Michael Irvin doesn’t want to see them taking this game lightly.
In his latest appearance on Undisputed, the legendary wide receiver claimed that he saw these kinds of things happen way too many times, especially on Thanksgiving.

He talked about divisional rivals knowing each other very well, so sometimes, records or even who has the better team doesn’t matter and anybody can win.
Truth be told, it would be hard to envision this team posing any sort of threat to the Cowboys.
Then again, the same could’ve been said of the Arizona Cardinals, and we saw how that turned out for Mike McCarthy’s team.
On top of that, both HC Ron Rivera and QB Sam Howell could be playing for their jobs from now onward.
That gives both of them plenty of motivation to be at their best against a divisional rival, and they did beat them in last year’s season finale.
