The New Orleans Saints haven’t been able to compete at the highest level since Drew Brees left town.
And while he hasn’t been on the field for quite a while, chances are that multiple teams would still love to have him out there.
Recently, Brees was asked when was the last time an NFL team reached out to him, and he shared some interesting info in his response, via ESPN Radio.
Hold up…Drew Brees is a lefty now? (No, not clickbait)

He stated that he was still getting offers in 2021, one year after his retirement.
However, he admitted that he could not play anymore, adding that if he could, he’d definitely be out there still.
Brees revealed that he can no longer throw with his right arm, stating that it’s a product of the injury he suffered in 2005 when he was still with the San Diego (then Los Angeles) Chargers.
He admitted that he’s now throwing left-handed and blamed that injury for the eventual ending of his career.
It’s not like his career was cut short by an injury or that he never reached his true potential, but still, this is just another example of the physical burden this sport can have on a player’s body.
