The Pittsburgh Steelers fired offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Tuesday.
Canada’s role in the Steelers’ offence has been under scrutiny as the club has struggled to move the ball all season. No replacement was immediately named.

The Steelers (6-4) are coming off a 13-10 division loss to the Cleveland Browns in which quarterback Kenny Pickett was outgained by rookie Browns passer Dorian Thompson-Robinson, who was making his second career start.
“I appreciate Matt’s hard work and dedication, and I wish him the best moving forward in his career,” head coach Mike Tomlin said in a statement announcing Canada’s departure.
The Steelers rank 30th in the NFL with 2,801 total yards of offence and their seven passing touchdowns rank 31st. The offence ranks 28th in points per game (16.6), 28th in yards per game (280.1) and 31st in passing yards per game (170), according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and they have been outgained in every game this season.
