The NFL could be seeing the return of a popular name in head coaching circles.
Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has come under fire the past few weeks as it came to light that his program was involved in a sign-stealing scandal.
There were reports that there was evidence of the team violating the Big 10’s sportsmanship policy, and as a result, Harbaugh was presented with a three-game suspension that he and Michigan eventually relented to.
Without Harbaugh, the Wolverines have still managed to win games though the NCAA is still investigating the situation.
The timing is interesting considering how much interest Harbaugh is drawing from the NFL.
As the NCAA digs into the matter further, it seems there’s a possibility that Harbaugh could miss more time in 2024 via FOX.
“It would not be surprising if Jim Harbaugh could be suspended for the bulk of the 2024 season, I’m told,” Feldman said.

Feldman says that Harbaugh may choose to exit the program should the NCAA decide to hand him a heftier suspension for next season.
Some teams in the NFL are hoping that the punishment goes through as they would like to bring in Harbaugh to fix their franchise.
The Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers, and Chicago Bears are some of the early options for Harbaugh given their respective situations.
Right now, Harbaugh hasn’t signaled that he’s actually seriously considering leaving Michigan as he has expressed numerous times how much he enjoys coaching his alma mater, but the NCAA could force his hand if it means having to sit out most of the 2024 season.
