The Pittsburgh Steelers are a team that has not gotten enough credit for their success.

Through nine games, the Steelers have a record of 6-3.

This puts them in second place in the AFC North.

But, looking at how the Steelers win games, it is far from conventional.

They have been outgained in every game this season and have a point differential of -26.

Still, you are what your record says and they have earned all six of those wins.

Due to them never lighting up the box score, many people believe the Steelers are winning with “smoke and mirrors.”

But star defensive tackle Cameron Heyward does not want to hear any of it.

According to Brooke Pryor, Heyward said, “We work too hard for this… I think that’s a cloud of smoke.”

There is something to be said about finding ways to win.

The Steelers play to their strength, which is their defense.

Led by Heyward and T.J. Watt, the Steelers have a devastating pass rush.

The other side of the ball is what needs help.

With Kenny Pickett leading the offense, things have gone poorly this year.

He is not asked to do much other than take care of the ball.

The Steelers are content battling for field position and hoping their defense can create a few turnovers.

It is rare to see a team winning this much with such poor quarterback play.

Pickett has thrown for 1,616 yards and six touchdowns in nine games.

But, he has gone five straight games without throwing an interception.

With the look at their upcoming schedule, it is not crazy to think the Steelers can still win the North.
