Joe Burrow has quickly developed into one of the most popular players in the NFL.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback has helped lead this team to back-to-back AFC Championships, bringing the Bengals back to relevancy.

While fans see a cool, calm, and collected Burrow on and off the field, there is a life story behind the reason he got to this point.

In a video shared on Thursday Night Football, Taylor Rooks sat with Burrow to talk about adversity throughout his career.

One of the quotes from Burrow was, “Whenever you’re in a situation one time, you’re going to be better in that situation the next time.”

As Rooks mentioned, the Bengals were 5-4 heading into Thursday Night Football.

Burrow’s team started the year slowly, largely due to the lower-body injuries he was suffering from.

When he got back on track, the team went on a run, bringing their record over .500 for the season.

While Burrow’s valiant effort might have gotten them into a prime position to make the postseason, the team now faces another hurdle.

Burrow left this game against the Baltimore Ravens with a wrist injury.

It remains to be seen how serious and how lasting the effects will be for him, but he appeared to be in a lot of pain in real-time.

This could be one of the situations Burrow mentioned in his interview with Rooks.

It might be difficult to get through right now, but because of his experience with overcoming injuries in the past, he should be equipped with the necessary tools to move forward with confidence.
