The San Antonio Spurs selected Victor Wembanyama using the number one overall pick in the 2023 NBA Draft.

Considering the French phenom was selected as the first overall pick, there’s no doubt that he’s talented.

But many believe that Wembanyama has the chance to surpass the likes of LeBron James and Michael Jordan once he reaches his full potential in the NBA.

Speaking of Wembanyama, former Los Angeles Lakers player Metta World Peace, now legally known as Metta Sandiford-Artest, recently shared his thoughts on the Spurs rookie via Legion Hoops on Twitter.

The former champion made a plethora of huge claims about Wembanyama in a series of tweets.

He started off by claiming that Wembanyama has the potential to break Wilt Chamberlain’s record for scoring the most points in a single game by putting up 101 points.

The former forward also predicted that Wembanyama has the potential to win 10 NBA Championships alongside winning the first MVP of his career in his rookie season.

Additionally, he exaggerated his point by saying that Wembanyama can win the NBA Most Improved Player award in his rookie season as well.

World Peace concluded by hailing Wembanyama as the best 19-year-old player he has ever seen.

In the 2023-24 NBA season, Wembanyama is averaging 18.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game for the Spurs.

However, Wembanyama’s numbers haven’t resulted in wins for the Spurs, as they have a 3-8 record in the 2023-24 NBA season.

Moreover, the Spurs are currently the 14th seed in the Western Conference and hope to snap out of their six-game losing streak.
