This home in the Potter Highlands neighborhood, known as the Mackay House, was built by Hugh Mackay, a Scottish mining engineer, as a wedding gift for his bride, and remained in the Mackay family until the early 1990s. Like the neighborhood, it is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The most recent owner spent decades updating it, retaining much of the historic character and many of the original materials.
It is less than a five-minute drive from Denver North High School, Valdez Elementary School and Highland Park, which has a library, a playground and basketball courts. Downtown Denver and the Colorado State Capitol are about 15 minutes away.
