The New Orleans Saints are slowly starting to discover themselves offensively as they picked up a win in Week 9 over the Chicago Bears.
Derek Carr’s taken some time to develop some chemistry with his new receiving corps, but it looks like the veteran is finally looking more comfortable leading the offense.
Carr’s got quality weapons like Chris Olave and Alvin Kamara to work with, along with speedster Rashid Shaheed who he’s been able to find on several explosive pass plays.
However, Carr’s also developed a solid rapport with Michael Thomas who finally looks healthy after dealing with injuries the past two seasons.
Although Thomas hasn’t been the elite wideout he was in the past, he’s still been a reliable target in the short and intermediate areas.
Thomas’s status for Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings was up in the air after he was arrested on battery charges, but he is expected to play via Ed Werder of ESPN.
Michael Thomas is expected to play for the #Saints tomorrow despite the incident detailed here that occurred last night, per source. Not sure it needed to be said, but I’ve checked it out and it seemed worth sharing. https://t.co/WRDanPU6oy

Thomas reportedly got into an incident with a man who was doing construction in his neighborhood and parked in front of the wide receiver’s home.
The two got into a verbal altercation and things escalated when the man allegedly started to record Thomas on his phone.
Thomas reportedly threw a brick at the man’s windshield, though little to no damage was reported.
The wideout was then arrested and booked without incident and later released a few hours later.
For now, Thomas seems like he’s in the clear though a punishment from the team or the league is likely coming later.
