After just one week of having James Harden on the roster, there already seems to be some panic for the Los Angeles Clippers.
Since acquiring Harden from the Philadelphia 76ers, the Clippers have dropped three straight games with their most recent loss coming in a blowout to the Dallas Mavericks.
When watching Los Angeles, it’s clear that something on the floor isn’t quite clicking as Harden tries to find some sort of chemistry with his new teammates.
Head coach Tyronn Lue has tried different combinations to see what works best for his new guard, though the tinkering hasn’t resulted in wins.
Harden himself hasn’t looked like himself either, though that might be expected given the time off he had from the floor.
The former MVP himself was honest about where he’s at and wants to give himself more time to figure things out via Law Murray of The Athletic.
“For me individually, this is only my third game. I didn’t have a training camp, I didn’t have a preseason, so everything is still moving fast speed for me. I need about a 10-game window then kind of see where I am from there,” Harden said.
James Harden to reporters last night in Dallas: “For me individually, this is only my third game. I didn’t have a training camp, I didn’t have a preseason, so everything is still moving fast speed for me. I need about a 10-game window then kind of see where I am from there.”

Harden definitely looks like a player who’s moving a step slower than the other people on the court, so getting him more reps is of the utmost importance for the Clippers.
Los Angeles pushed all their chips to the middle of the table when they decided to trade for Harden, so for better or worse their title hopes hinge on him being able to rediscover himself offensively.
