Before Brock Purdy had this offense humming last season, the San Francisco 49ers were known as a team that could get it done defensively, with superstar Nick Bosa, who won NFL Defensive Player of the Year last season, leading the way.

This season, it looked like more of the same to start the year, with Purdy getting them going offensively while using his weapons like Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel, and George Kittle.

With the 49ers putting up points, Bosa and company secured the lead by keeping opposing offenses in check and at bay, making this team arguably the best all-around team in football.

Coming off their bye week, no one really knows what to expect from the 49ers, as they have lost three straight games and don’t resemble the team that has dominated on both sides of the football for two years.

Emmanuel Acho of “Speak” on FS1 believes that the 49ers defense looks confused right now, especially with defensive coordinator Steve Wilks going from the booth to the sideline for this week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Making a drastic and head-scratching move like this will turn heads, as it shows somewhat of a lack of confidence or, at the very least, some poor communication within the coaching staff.

However, this team is too talented not to get back on track defensively, with one of the best defensive players in the league leading the charge.

The game against the Jaguars will be a statement game for the 49ers, as they’ll look to impose their will against a good team led by Trevor Lawrence.
