The 2023-24 NBA season feels like a make-or-break year for the Los Angeles Clippers who must be feeling the pressure to win a title.

The Clippers have been one of the most talented teams on paper since Kawhi Leonard and Paul George joined forces, but the team has severely underwhelmed under the duo.

Injuries have played a large part in Los Angeles’ struggles as either Leonard or Paul has missed extensive time and put the team in tough positions.

Their injury history coupled with the strength of the rest of the Western Conference could leave the Clippers looking at another disappointing season, though George is doing his best to prevent that fate.

Through five games, George is having a career year as he’s been shooting the basketball extremely well and playing his usual brand of defense.

Bones Hyland has taken notice of George’s performances and says the star forward is embracing a new approach to games via ClutchPoints.

“Man, he’s on his bully. Like he said,” Hyland said.

George has always been one of the league’s premier two-way talents, and it feels like he’s on a mission to prove that he belongs in the conversation for best superstars.

Although Leonard will draw all the attention because of his dominance, George shouldn’t be considered an afterthought considering what he’s been able to do up to this point.

George is currently averaging 28.8 points per game on 56 percent shooting from the field and 51.2 percent from the 3-point line.

Those numbers will decline as George plays more games, but there’s no doubt that he’s living up to his “Be Dominant” mantra.
