James Harden remained one of the most talked about players this past summer following his shocking request to be traded away from the Philadelphia 76ers.

Harden demanded to be traded to the Los Angeles Clippers in hopes of forming yet another Big 3 in his career.

For months, the trade talks between the 76ers and Clippers were at a stalemate, but the two teams finally agreed on a fair deal around the 34-year-old Harden.

With Harden joining the Clippers, fans will hope that he can form a great partnership with Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook.

Shannon Sharpe expressed his worries about Harden dealing with being the third option on the team, via “First Take” on Twitter.

“What version of James Harden are we going to get? Because this is the first time in a very, very, very long time that he’s third option. No question about it,” Sharpe said.

Sharpe made an extremely good point on the show, as Harden isn’t accustomed to being the third option on offense.

The last time Harden was given that role was by the Brooklyn Nets, and it was a tough struggle for the former NBA MVP.

Sharpe worried that the newly-formed superteam of the Clippers may suffer the same fate unless Harden finds a way to be a complementary player.

Harden averaged 10.7 assists per game last season as he led the league in assists, so there’s a chance that the former 76ers star can find a way to play behind Leonard and George.

With Harden’s trade finalized, fans are patiently waiting for his debut.

While Clippers fans would love to see him play against the Los Angeles Lakers this Wednesday, a more realistic game for Harden’s debut is Monday night’s matchup against the New York Knicks.
