The 2023 NFL season has been a roller-0coaster ride for the Cincinnati Bengals, going back to the start of training camp when superstar quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a calf strain.
The Bengals started the season with a banged-up Burrow, who looked nothing like himself on the field and ended up losing three of their first four games, with two losses to divisional opponents.
It seemed to be panic mode at that time for the Bengals, with seemingly nothing going right in Cincinnati and a potential rift brewing with star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase not happy about not getting the football.
As if all this wasn’t bad enough for the Bengals, they’re playing in arguably the league’s best division with four potential playoff teams and one of the toughest schedules in the NFL, but somehow, Cincinnati has turned it around with Burrow starting to get back to form.
Burrow is coming off arguably his best game of the season against arguably the toughest opponent they’ve faced in the San Francisco 49ers, earning him high praise from Nick Wright of FOX Sports on “First Things First.”
“Joe Burrow, against the 49ers, might’ve had the best QB performance anyone had in the league all year.”

As Wright says, if Burrow is healthy, the Bengals might be “as scary” as any team in the league right now.
Burrow proved that he could bounce back from a forgettable start to the season, as he spread the football around to seven different receivers while also doing some damage with his feet with 43 rushing yards to go along with 283 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Burrow and company will look to keep it going this week against the Buffalo Bills.
