Best AT&T phone deals
Many of AT&T’s phone deals are available to both new and existing customers, though trade-ins are often required to get the advertised prices. It’s worth noting that these deals are split across 36 months of bill credits, meaning you’ll need to remain an AT&T customer for at least three years to pay off the phone. If you cancel before that period is over, you’ll be responsible for any remaining charges associated with it.
If you’re an AT&T customer looking to upgrade to Apple’s latest model iPhone 15, you can save up to $1,000 when you order it now. As long as you have or switch to an eligible unlimited plan, you’ll save up to $350 with any trade-in valued at just $35 or more, and up to $830 for trade-ins valued at $130 or more. And if you’re opting for the high-end iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max, you can save up $1,000 with a trade-in valued at $230 or more. With these deals, you can essentially score the basic iPhone 15 or the iPhone 15 Pro for free. Just note that the discount will be applied as bill credits over 36 months.
Though the iPhone 14 series is no longer the absolute latest from Apple, it still has plenty to offer, and right now AT&T has some solid savings available on these previous-gen models. When you have or switch to an eligible unlimited plan, and purchase the phone on an installment plan, you can get the basic iPhone 14 for $11 per month, the 14 Pro for just $15 per month, or the iPhone 14 Pro Max for $20 per month. That saves you up to $330 compared to the usual AT&T price, and the discount is applied in the form of bill credits over 36 months.
And while it’s not required to get this deal, AT&T does have its own trade-in program where you can save even more in exchange for your old phone. It’s also worth noting that the iPhone 14 Plus monthly price is a little more expensive than the others, at $26 per month.
Trade in a phone valued at just $35 or more, and AT&T will knock $1,000 off Samsung’s latest generation of Z series foldables. That scores you the basic Z Flip 5 for free, and drops the Z Fold 5 down to just under $23 per month. And AT&T even accepts old and damaged phones, so you may be surprised at what that cracked iPhone in your drawer is worth. To get this deal, you’ll need to have or switch to an eligible unlimited plan, and purchase the phone on an installment plan. The discount will be applied as bill credits over 36 months.
AT&T is offering some great deals on Samsung’s latest phones right now. As long as you have (or switch to) an eligible service plan, you’ll earn $800 in enhanced credit when trading in a device valued at $35 or more or $1000 in credits for a pre-used phone with a trade-in value of $95 or higher. That even includes older and damaged devices, so you may be surprised by how much that cracked phone in your drawer is worth. With this deal, you can score the base model Galaxy S23 for free, or the advanced S23 FE for $10 per month, and the S23 Ultra for around less than $6 per month.
The newest phone from Google, the Google Pixel 8, described by our reviewer as “a svelte version of the Google Pixel 7” is available now at AT&T along with its beefier counterpart, the Pixel 8 Pro. The Pixel 8 comes in at $15 per month, while the Pixel 8 Pro is around $29 per month. Though the savings might not seem huge, once you’ve bought it you’ll receive up to $300 in bill credits on the Pixel 8 128GB and up to $180 in bill credits on the Pixel 8 256GB.
For those looking to snag one of Google’s earlier model flagship phones, ATT&T has some special pricing. If you only want the basic Pixel 7, you’re looking at $20 per month, the Pixel 7 Pro is $26 per month, but the Pixel 7a is just $5 per month. For any of these phones, simply purchase an installment plan, upgrade to an unlimited plan, and you’ll receive up to $340 in bill credits.
AT&T has a number of deals for those who don’t have a phone to trade in, including discounts on Apple iPhone SE (2022), Google Pixel 7A, and Samsung Z Flip 4, as well as plenty of other models from smaller brands like the Motorola Razr Plus. All these deals, however, require you to be on an unlimited plan and finance the phone on a 36-month installment plan.
Under this deal, you can grab the iPhone SE starting at just $5 per month, the Pixel 7A at just $5 per month, the Motorola Razr Plus for $5 and the Z Flip 4 starting at $15 per month. Most of these phones are previous-gen models, but are still a pretty good value when you can snag them at this price.
Best AT&T plan deals
If you’re looking to make the switch to AT&T, there are a few deals on various plans that may make you lean toward one or the other. Promotions on plans are less common these days, though oftentimes you can get some free extras (like streaming service subscriptions and music subscriptions) with enrollment in some of the higher-end 5G plans from each carrier. AT&T, however, no longer offers free streaming services to new subscribers who don’t already have it on their plans.
AT&T includes 5G access with all of its plans, with the biggest difference for most people on its latest plans being how much hotspot data you get. There are also differences in how much “high-speed” data you get, though even on its cheapest Starter plan AT&T says it will only slow your speeds “temporarily” if you’re in an area where the network is “busy.”
As for savings, your company may also offer a corporate discount on plans, but you will need to check with them to see if that applies to personal accounts. AT&T also offers a host of discounts depending on your profession.
Are you a teacher, or is someone on your family plan a teacher? You could save on your wireless bill. AT&T offers a teacher discount on its plans that could save serious money depending on which plan you have. The cheapest price for four lines is $27 per line per month for its Starter plan, the Unlimited Extra Plan for $30 per month per line, and the Premium plan is the most expensive at $39 per line. If you want one line, the price for the Starter plan is $49.
Teachers can verify their eligibility by heading to AT&T’s website here. The carrier says the deal is open to “certified/licensed K-12 teachers at public or private schools, or college or university faculty members or instructors.”
You will also need to be on AT&T’s Unlimited Starter, Extra or Premium plans.
AT&T has a deal for nurses and physicians that’s identical to the teachers’ deal mentioned above, with up to the same 25% discount on wireless plans.
As with the teachers’ deal, you need to verify your employment with AT&T, with the offer open to those who are “certified or licensed doctors, nurses, or physician assistants.” You can’t combine this discount with the teachers’ offer. You will also need to be on AT&T’s Unlimited Starter, Extra or Premium plans.
AT&T offers the same 25% discount on plans to active-duty military, veterans and first responders. As with the nurses’ and teachers’ deals, you only need one person on your plan to meet these qualifications to be eligible for the discount, which will vary depending on how many lines you have.
