The Kansas City Chiefs have become linked with Taylor Swift during this season.

Swift, of course, is dating Travis Kelce, which continues to take the internet by storm.

This relationship has seemingly been a catalyst for Kelce and the Chiefs as of late, who entered Week 8 on a six-game winning streak.

However, that winning streak came crashing down as the Denver Broncos dismantled them 24-9.

In honor of the Swift-Kelce relationship, Mile High Stadium played some of her music after the loss according to SportsCenter, further rubbing their victory into the Chiefs’ faces.

With all of the Swift fanfare put aside, this loss signaled a few things for the Chiefs.

They are now 6-2, tied with a few teams for the top spot in the AFC.

Ending the regular season with the best record in the conference comes with a huge advantage, as that team gets home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The Chiefs have grown accustomed to hosting playoff games lately, especially AFC Championships.

Arrowhead Stadium is a notoriously difficult place to play at any time during the year, especially during the playoffs.

If this loss to the Broncos is the reason that the Chiefs miss out on this advantage, they will likely never hear the end of it from their division rivals.

Ultimately, the Chiefs might have underestimated the Broncos coming into this game.

They might have been resting on the laurels of their recent successes and not fully prepared for their divisional opponent who came out of the gates with a fury.
