Sometimes Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks just needs to be seen to be believed.

That was certainly the case on Friday night, as Doncic put up one of the most incredible trick shots he’s ever made.

In the closing seconds of a tied game against the Brooklyn Nets, Doncic was out of options and desperately trying to find a place to post his shot.

With the clock winding down, Doncic put up a wild three-pointer as the Nets pushed him back and nearly forced him out of bounds.

The shot looked like it wouldn’t go in but, of course, it did and the crowd went positively wild.

That sealed Brooklyn’s fate and the Mavericks won the game 125-120.

The Mavericks are now 2-0 to start the season, having beat Victor Wembanyama in his first NBA game just a few days before.

The reaction that Doncic got from the crowd after this shot was definitely a highlight of the season so far.

It was yet another example of Doncic’s natural and unparalleled ability to score in the craziest ways.

Throughout the summer, Doncic showcased numerous wild trick shots like this one while practicing with his Slovenian team for the FIBA World Cup.

But seeing him do something like this during the regular season is obviously much more exciting.

How many more shots like this can he produce and how much more magic does Doncic have up his sleeves for 2023-24?

The team will need more than these sorts of points to have a great season but there is no doubt it helps a lot and gets the fans and roster fired up.

The season is very long but this might be the best three-pointer fans see all year.
