Report: Dolphins’ Jalen Ramsey expected to make season debut vs. Patriots

The Miami Dolphins are planning for star cornerback Jalen Ramsey to make his season debut against the New England Patriots on Sunday, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Thursday.

Ramsey, whom the Dolphins acquired in an offseason trade with the Los Angeles Rams, has been working his way back from a torn meniscus he suffered in July.

Without Ramsey in the lineup, the Dolphins have started the season 5-2 and sit atop the AFC East division.

Ramsey himself provided an update as well.

“Full transparency, there’s a CHANCE that I can play this Sunday, but that decision genuinely isn’t made yet so that is news to me just like it is to y’all,” Ramsey posted Thursday on X. “I have to go through a whole process to feel GREAT enough to play. I won’t play if I feel any less than GREAT.”

Ramsey, a six-time Pro Bowl selection, had 77 tackles and four interceptions during the Rams’ Super Bowl-winning 2021 season. Last season, he had a career-high 88 tackles and four interceptions.
