Jahseem Felton explains why he committed to Seton Hall

A recent official visit to Seton Hall was enough for three-star guard Jahseem Felton to commit to the Big East program.

Felton is a class of 2024 guard at the Combine Academy (Rock Hill, South Carolina). He is a consensus three-star recruit and is ranked the No. 120 recruit in the nation by On3.

He also held offers from North Carolina State, Missouri and Cincinnati among others.

In mid-October, he took an official visit to Seton Hall. That visit was transformational in his recruitment.

“It impacts it a lot, seeing the environment, the coaching staff, facilities, the campus – really helped in the decision,” Felton told USA TODAY High School Sports.

He is a 6-foot-5 guard with good length. Felton has the ability to stretch the court and is a very good perimeter defender.

With his verbal, Felton is now the first commitment for Seton Hall in their 2024 recruiting class.

“I picked Seton Hall because of the style of play and their culture is right for me,” Felton said.

“It felt right once I stepped on campus. The coaching staff, the team, even the students walking – (it) was good. Felt like home.

“And the coaches were very honest with me like I was one of their own.”
