This weekend, Sunday Night Football will feature a showdown between the high-octane Miami Dolphins and the defending NFC champion Philadelphia Eagles.

Both teams are 5-1 and looking to stake their claim that they are the best team in the respective conferences.

This contest will also be a matchup of two of the NFL’s best quarterbacks and MVP candidates in Tua Tagovailoa and Jalen Hurts.

Former NFL player James Jones says Jalen Hurts has “all the pressure” on him because of the lucrative contract extension he recently signed, via “Speak” on FS1.

Last season, Hurts blossomed as a third-year pro, throwing for 3,701 yards and 22 touchdown passes while adding 760 yards and 13 touchdowns on the ground, and he was the runner-up in the regular-season MVP balloting to Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs.

It all earned him a five-year, $255 million extension, which made him the highest-paid player in league history — until the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson landed a five-year, $260 million deal just days later.

So far this year, Hurts has thrown seven touchdown passes, but he also has seven interceptions.

The Eagles have been picked by many to return to the Super Bowl, but they haven’t been firing on all cylinders yet this year.

They have won just one game by at least 10 points, and their passing defense has been rather poor.

That passing defense will be tested to the max by the Dolphins, who are first in passing yards and touchdowns and are putting up offensive numbers few teams ever have while wide receiver Tyreek Hill could be on his way to a historic season.
