One of the top prospects in the nation, Boogie Fland, committed to Kentucky on Friday afternoon.
A standout guard at Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, New York), Fland is a five-star recruit and the No. 18 player in the nation according to ESPN. He made his college announcement at his high school.
A member of the class of 2024, Fland chose Kentucky from a final three that also included Alabama and Indiana. Last year, Kentucky had the top-ranked recruiting class in the nation. This year with the addition of Fland, they are currently at No. 17 nationally.
The 6-foot-3 guard averaged 18.1 points and 3.7 assists per game. He is coming off an official visit to Alabama in late September.
Fland revealed his pick with a certain amount of swagger. He went for all three hats on the table before standing up and revealing a Kentucky t-shirt underneath his jacket.
The crowd at his high school went absolutely bonkers.
He joins four-star center Somto Cyril in the Kentucky 2024 recruiting class.
