After getting eliminated in the 2023 Eastern Conference Finals, the Boston Celtics made some huge moves this past summer.

In addition to the dynamic duo of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, the Celtics added the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to the roster.

With the new Big 4, the Celtics are expected to dominate the Eastern Conference in the 2023-24 season.

But even the best teams require top-notch chemistry to attain success in the league, and training camp is a great way to test the team’s chemistry.

Well, head coach Joe Mazzulla spoke highly of his players’ performance during training camp, via Celtics on NBC Sports on Twitter.

“I couldn’t have asked for it to go any better,” Mazzulla said.

Following their most recent 127-99 win against the Charlotte Hornets, the Celtics now have a 4-1 record in the preseason.

Sure, the preseason wins do not count in the regular season, but it’s great to start the season on a positive note.

The Celtics finished as the second seed in the Eastern Conference last season with a 57-25 record.

They were just one win shy of finishing as the No. 1 seed in the East.

Considering the Celtics have vastly improved their roster in the offseason, they are the favorites to win the Eastern Conference.

Moreover, the Celtics are in the perfect position to finally end their championship drought.

The decorated franchise hasn’t won a title since 2008.

They did advance to the 2010 and 2022 NBA Finals but couldn’t finish the job either time.
