The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their latest matchup with the Detroit Lions, 20-6.

This loss brought the Buccaneers’ record to 3-2, but they are still atop the NFC South.

Despite their current standing within the division, the Buccaneers are holding themselves to a higher standing.

Todd Bowles recently commented on the team’s current feelings, saying “We should be pi**** off every week,” per Around the NFL.

Baker Mayfield had expressed a similar sentiment after the Buccaneers’ lack of offense in their loss to the Lions.

In the loss, the Buccaneers put up six points, with Mayfield contributing 206 passing yards and one touchdown.

Against a team with an offense as potent as the Lions’, six points doesn’t cut it.

Both Mayfield and Bowles seem determined to get their team back on the right track, hoping to produce an output greater than six points moving forward.

In this conversation, Bowles also said that his team needs to “play more disciplined football” if they want to make it to the postseason.

The Buccaneers will hopefully use this energy in their upcoming matchup with the Atlanta Falcons.

Currently, the Falcons are right at the Buccaneers’ heels in the divisional race.

A win for the Buccaneers would expand their divisional lead, while a loss would put them in a compromising position.

Mayfield is doing everything he can to help this team succeed, trying to establish himself on his new team.

Beating the Falcons would go a long way on this quest, giving them a leg up for the remainder of the year.
