The latest phones in Google’s flagship lineup are here. The new Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro hit shelves just last week, and boast better AI and improved cameras — along with a new price tag that’s $100 higher than the previous generation. If you’re looking to upgrade to one of these sleek new Android devices, we’ve rounded up some of the best carrier and retailer deals out there at the moment below to help you get your hands on one for less.
As well as impressive new AI and camera features, there are some other notable upgrades, including Google’s new Tensor G3 processor, which powers both models, and brighter screens on both phones. The smaller Pixel 8 is also getting a higher 120Hz refresh rate display, up from 90Hz in the previous-gen model and the Pixel 8 Pro gains a neat new temperature sensor.
Note that in our ongoing review of the Pixel 8 Pro, CNET uncovered some problems with its cameras that we felt were serious enough to warrant holding off on recommending you buy it. Google says it’s working to quickly solve these issues via a software update and we’re confident that it will. We had no such problems with the Pixel 8 and rated it very highly.

Best Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro deals
Google is offering new customers up to $700 off the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro with a new line on a Fi Unlimited Plus plan. New customers opting for a different service plan can still save up to $350 on the base Pixel 8, and up to $500 on the Pixel 8 Pro. The discount is applied in the form of bill credits over a 24-month period.
And while it’s not required to get this deal, Google does have its own trade-in program as well. You can save up to $590 in exchange for your old phone, with the latest iPhones netting you the most credit.
If you’re after an unlocked Pixel 8 or 8 Pro, Best Buy has its own trade-in program where you can save up to $525, with the latest iPhones netting you the biggest discount. But if you’re a Verizon customer on a qualifying plan, you’ll get enhanced trade-in credit that can save you up to $800 on the Pixel 8, or up to $1,000 on the Pixel 8 Pro. Unlocked models also come with one free month of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
Amazon isn’t offering any straightforward discounts on the latest Pixel phones at the moment. But you can get 50% off a pair of Pixel Buds A-Series when bundled with the purchase, which saves you $50. Just add both items to your cart, and the discount will be automatically applied at checkout.
AT&T is offering two different deals on the latest Pixel phones right now. If you’re after the basic Pixel 8, you can save $300 when you purchase it on an installment plan, which drops the price down to just $15 per month. Or, if you want the step-up Pixel 8 Pro, you’ll save $1,040 with the trade-in of any phone valued at just $35 or more, which scores you the basic 128GB model for free. Both deals require you to have or switch to an eligible unlimited plan, and the savings are applied as bill credits over a 36-month period. If you cancel service before then, you’ll have to pay the remaining balance out of pocket. (Note that AT&T’s list prices are $40 more than those stated by Google.)
Those adding a new line at Verizon can save up to $800 on the Pixel 8 or up to $1,000 on the Pixel 8 Pro with an eligible trade-in, which scores you both models for free. Or you can save up to $800 with just a trade-in if you’re an existing customer who qualifies for an upgrade. And those who port their existing number over from another carrier will also get a free $200 Verizon gift card.
There are some other bonuses available as well, including $170 off a Samsung Galaxy Watch, $400 off a Google Pixel Watch 2 and $550 off a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE 5G with the purchase. Just note that you’ll need a new line of service for these devices to get the discount.
Those on a Go5G Next or Plus plan can save up to $800 with a trade-in or a new line of service at T-Mobile, which scores you the basic Pixel 8 for free. If you’re on a different qualifying service plan, you can still save up to $500 with a trade-in or $400 with a new line. This discount is applied as bill credits over 24 months.
