This season means more for the Boston Celtics.
They’ve knocked on the door of an NBA championship way too many times already, and they no longer want to go home empty-handed.
There have been plenty of reports about the veterans hosting workouts and everybody on the team putting in a lot of work throughout the course of the entire offseason.
That’s why a reporter asked Jayson Tatum about their decision not to ease into the season and just get right into it with plenty of intensity.
Tatum admitted that practice has been quite intense and hard, but he’s got no complaints about that (via Celtics on NBC Sports).
“Practice has been hard as s**t, I ain’t going to lie.”

The Celtics made two of the most impactful moves of the offseason by trading for both Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday, so there should be no more room for excuses starting this season.
Tatum praised the second unit for having so many competitive guys who help keep the starters on their toes, and for the first time in years, it seems like the Celtics have finally found and developed some strong rapport off the court.
Hard work often pays off, and the NBA isn’t the exception to that rule.
The Celtics have the most stacked team in the Eastern Conference, even with the Milwaukee Bucks landing Damian Lillard a couple of weeks ago.
Also, with Jaylen Brown fresh off signing that massive contract extension, he’ll be in the spotlight and asked to play like a superstar from the very beginning of the season.
